Stone Age Manufacturing

Composite Pools would like to give a warm welcome to Stone Age Manufacturing to our ever growing Extended Living Spaces Program!

The construction of the old-fashioned masonry fireplace is becoming a lost art. Over the past 25 years pre-fab metal fireplaces have taken the place of the old fashioned style masonry fireplace. The industry has sacrificed longevity and quality for convenience and cheaper prices. In response to that challenge Stone Age Manufacturing has developed a product with durable all masonry construction, easy assembly, and affordable pricing. Their advantage over the competition: Their product will stand up to the harsh elements of any outdoor climate. Their firebox will not rust or rot out.

Stone Age Manufacturing offers everything from fire pits, pizza ovens, brick ovens, outdoor kitchens, indoor fireplaces, new age fireplaces, stone fireplaces, and wood boxes.

A Stone Age Fireplace offers you a lifetime of use and enjoyment with the least amount of maintenance of any fireplace on the market.

Advanced and Ultra Safety Covers

Protect your pool this winter season with an Advanced or Ultra Safety Cover. Like the lip on a jar, a safety cover will protect your pool from leaves, dirt, snow, and anything else you don't want getting in your pool.

The Advanced Safety Covers are manufactured to specifically fit your pool size and shape. When installed properly, the Advanced Safety Cover will prevent dirt, leaves, animals, and children from entering the pool. The Advanced Safety Cover is strapped over-top of your pool and anchored to your surrounding decking.

The use of a weighted cover pump will pump off all standing water, such as rain or meloing snow and will maintain all applicable safety standards.

The Advanced Safety Cover comes with a 12 year warranty.

With an Ultra Safety Cover you spend more time enjoying your pool and less time maintaining it. You just flip a switch and in less than a minute your pool is protected from unwanted entry of dirt, leaves, animals, and children. The Ultra Safety Cover is an automatic safety pool cover. The cover is stored on a roll at the end of your pool. With a flip of a switch your safety cover will be pulled along tracks, either on top of your decking your underneath your decking, to cover your pool with ease.

Both the Advanced and Ultra Safety Cover can be purchased from your local Composite Pool Dealer.

Earth Friendly

Due to the non-porous finish on a Composite Pool, fewer chemicals are needed because algae is less prone to attach to smoother surfaces. Additionally, less cleaning will have to be performed using automatic pool cleaners saving electricity.

When automatic pool cleaners are used, the time it takes to clean the pool will be reduced saving additional energy. As Composite fiberglass pools do not rely on steel panels or steel mesh/rebar for structure, they do not have the potential to leech chemicals and rust back into the groundwater as a more conventional constructed pool would. Fiberglass pools in general act as a natural insulator.

Your filter and heater will potentially run less than equipment on a vinyl/gunite pool. Depending on the climate and size of the pool, a homeowner can save up to $225.00 per month on their pool maintenance with our pools versus other types of pools (vinyl/gunite).

With more and more people concerned about our environment, our Eco-Friendly pools are already the pool of tomorrow. Not only do our pools use less chemicals and energy, our pools never need to be re-plastered, nor do they have a liner to replace -- thus resulting in less waste in our landfills.

Fiberglass Pool Myth #4

MYTH #4:
Fiberglass pools pop out of the ground.

TRUTH:
A Composite fiberglass pools will never pop out of the ground if it is properly installed. This is because our fiberglass pools should always be filled with water and the surrounding concrete engulfs the pool’s outer lip, making it impossible for the pool to move unless the concrete moves with it. If any type of pool is installed in an area with a high water table, it is the responsibility of the builder to properly install and safeguard the pool against possible damage due to the high ground water whether it is a fiberglass, vinyl lined or concrete pool.

Fiberglass Pool Myth #3

MYTH #3:
Fiberglass Pools are much more expensive than vinyl liner pools.

TRUTH:
Typically, if someone is comparing a Composite fiberglasspool to a liner pools, apples to apples, features to features, they will find that a Composite Pool  unit typically runs $5,000-$10,000 more initially, but there are two ways of figuring out the price; the initial price and the initial price plus added expenses of the pool over the course of a lifetime. For example, let’s say your spend $25,000 initially for a vinyl-liner pool. Considering liners will typically late 8 years on average, which can vary depending on a number of factors, before it has to be replaces, and the average cost of a liner replacement is usually between $3,000-$5,000. A vinyl-lined pool owner can spend $8,000-$12,000 on liner replacements alone during the first 20 years. The same principle applies to concrete pools that have to be replastered, every 8 to 12 years, with an average cost of well over $5,000. This is one great advantage of a fiberglass pool. There are almost never large expenses down the road for a homeowner to worry about. When a potential pool buyer figured in the cost of these long-term repairs/expenses, as well as the year to year savings on chemicals, it is no wonder why so many customers are willing to pay more initially for a CompositePool in order to pay less and have less headache in the long run.

Fiberglass Pool Myth #2

MYTH #2:
Fiberglass pools look cheap.

TRUTH:
If someone had stated this many years ago, we might have to agree with them. Times have changed in the fiberglass pool industry, especially with the introduction of pool colors other than classic blue or white; such as our Gemstone Finishes & Diamond Series. Also now you can add waterline and inlayed ceramic tile, mosaic inlayed tile, fiber-optic or LED lighting, cascades, streams, and much more! With so many options to choose from, home of all value ranges can easily find a Composite fiberglass pool that corresponds aesthetically with their appearance. Composite Pools are beautiful and permanent looking! This is why customers of all economic classes are going with the Composite Pool fiberglass advantage.

Fiberglass Pool Myth #1

MYTH:
Fiberglass pools only work in warm climates.

TRUTH:
It is an accepted fact in the swimming pool industry that fiberglass has the ability to “flex” due to its incredible tensile strength, much more so than any other type of pool (i.e. concrete). When someone is concerned about freeze conditions having an adverse effect on fiberglass, they are forgetting that when the water in the pool freezes is expands in an upward direction which has no barriers. The simple fact is that Composite Pools has never had a customer sustain any damage to the fiberglass shell due to freezing weather conditions.
